COVID-19 and the Ritz Theater
Effective at midnight 3/31/2020 the Tooele County Health Department issued a shutdown order that forced us to close our doors temporarily. While we had the option to reopen the theater after May 1, 2020, conditions in the market and regulations in place at the time prevented us from doing that.
This was the first time that we know of in the history of our theater's operation that we've been closed for an extended period. Since the 1930's, the theater had never closed for more than a day or two at a time and we feel your pain looking for something to do. To help out we are working with our partners at Sony Pictures. They have provided a variety of content for you and your little ones in this unprecedented time. It is available on our Extra Fun page for download or as a link to the content.
Beginning December 4, 2020 the theater will reopen on a limited basis under certain Covid-19 mitigation measures.
